There is always a cost for learning a new thing. Today, after spending Rs. 1050/- I got a very good lesson and I am thinking to share it with you all for free! This is one of the reasons why I like internet.. and blogging!
As I came back to Udaipur after almost two months from Assam, I found out that both our water closet ( WC ) were not working properly and I had no clue how to fix it! So, I had to call a plumber. For one WC, he advised to replace the water tank itself as there were few leakages too. I had no option, but to accept his recommendation! The exact situation one finds when they visit a doctor and doctor prescribes hell lot of tests before giving any concrete consultation, and one has not option but to get those tests done!
So, I got the whole water tank along with the water inlet pipe to the bowl. After he replaced it, I saw the water inlet pipe and understood what the hell was the problem! Because of non-use of the flush for two months, lot of sedimentation occurred inside the pipe which was not allowing to flow water into the bowl properly! This simple information or knowledge cost me Rs. 1050/- and also it troubled me a lot!
So, int he second WC, I simply bought two bottles of acid ( Rs. 10 per bottle, total Rs. 20) and poured in the water tank. It cleaned up all the sedimentation and wow, after 10 minutes, the flush started working great!
A good lesson learnt! Now I can fix any kind of flush problem for sure! From next time onwards, I will not have any problem in my WC, I promised myself.
